BEFORE

Another one of our client projects, this site was a former food bank on the ground floor and office building to the first floor. It was centrally located just off the main high street in beautiful Wokingham town centre. The property benefited from 3 additional garages as part of the sale as well. The property was primed for a conversion to residential development. The food bank had handed their notice, and we managed to negotiate a delayed completion for the client to ensure the building was vacant possession upon completion. We knew under the new Class MA rules, we could quite easily convert the building into 6 self contained apartments.

AFTER

We successfully gained prior approval consent on the basis of creating 6 new dwellings at the first time of trying. We undertook a few surveys to ensure the application went smoothly (noise impact assessment, highways impact etc.). The project itself was a internal reconfiguration only, however due to it being situated on a narrow side road off the main high street, the biggest challenge on this project was utility connections. These caused us a few delays along the way, therefore it is paramount on any project that you deal with the third party companies from the outset. The project was delivered to a very happy client and we are now letting these to local professionals.

I have used Savoys Developments who successfully sourced, project managed and built my 6 Bed HMO and I have now transitioned over to Savoys Properties who now fully manage my property.

I would recommend their services to other investors who are looking for a fantastic return with very little effort required. I really like my en-suite as it is manageable and affordable for me as a student. I like the package they have offered me and their management is outstanding.

I haven’t had any problems living so far and if there has been an issue in past months they’ve been quick to resolve. I would highly recommend the living especially for international students!

Over the past 4 years, I commissioned Savoys on projects to manage the sourcing , procurement, renovation and fit-out of 2 properties, converting them to 6-bed HMOs.

Thoroughly impressed by the excellent results they delivered, on time and on budget, I then opted for their services to fully manage these same properties.
